Regarding Hub Protrusion
HUB PROTRUSION
Most vehicles' axle hubs have a central protruding part that serves a number of purposes, one of which is helping the rims locate centrally onto the hub. The design and height of this central protrusion varies significantly from vehicle to vehicle, make to make, model to model, year to year, and can be a source of fitment issues particularly in regards to hub centric spacers (i.e. ones with a hub centric lip)
If you are ordering a spacer with a hub centric lip is important to be aware of: in cases where the wheel centre bore is <4mm greater than the car centre bore, there is a step on the inside bore of the spacer necessary to support the hub centric lip. So that the spacer can sit flush on the hub, your vehicle's hub protrusion must not exceed the bore depth, so PLEASE CHECK YOUR HUB PROTRUSION BEFORE PURCHASING! Please note that we are not able to determine your hub protrusion for you; you must remove a wheel and measure the hub. Please see the picture below for an example of how to measure this. If you do not feel comfortable doing this yourself, we recommend speaking to an automotive mechanic
Spacer Thickness | Bore Depth A | Bore Depth B |
10mm | 8mm | 8mm |
12mm | 10mm | 10mm |
15mm | ~12.5mm | 12mm |
20mm | ~18mm | 15mm |
25mm | ~22mm | 20mm |
30mm | ~27mm | 25mm |
35mm | ~32mm | 30mm |
40mm | ~37mm | 35mm |
50mm | ~47mm | 45mm |
